Austin J. Ganim

President & Senior Landscape Designer

Seasonal Planter Blues

Austin has been working in all aspects of the nursery business for as long as he can remember, growing up amidst the aisles of Ganim’s Garden Center. It was a natural transition for him to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather into the family business, making him the third generation to provide the greater Fairfield area with gardening and landscape services.

Upon receiving his degree in Horticulture from University of Connecticut Austin decided he would expand the garden center’s repertoire to include landscape design and installation services. With the inception of Austin Ganim Landscape Design, LLC in 2003 Austin’s new endeavour was off the ground and running. Over the course of the year he realized that many home owners did not have the time, knowledge or ability to properly maintain their investments, to better service his customers needs he acquired Lawn Care of Fairfield LLC the following year.

Eva I. Chiamulera, ASLA, PLA

Landscape Architect

Eva joined the Austin Ganim Landscape Design Team in 2008, bringing with her invaluable experience from her work at several prominent landscape architecture firms in both Boston and New York. Her design work ranges from cottage gardens to large residential estates. Eva received both her bachelor’s and masters degrees from Cornell University where she studied, landscape architecture, horticulture, historic preservation and planning. She also interned at the university's botanical garden the Cornell Plantations.

Eva’s design philosophy is based on practical knowledge and years of hands-on horticultural experience.  Understanding not only the importance of each individuals landscape expressing the owners aesthetic and personal taste but creating garden rooms that act as an extension of the home.  Through the years Eva has developed extensive plant and material palate that has been honed to create enduring landscapes rich in color and texture, complementing the existing natural and architectural elements.
